As anyone who really knows me is aware, I’m a huge fan of the Japanese comedic duo Downtown (Masatoshi Hamada and Hitoshi Matsumoto). Over the years they’ve done various shows, such as Hey!Hey!Hey! Music Champ and Gaki no Tsukai.

One of the shows they made was Gottsu Ee Kanji, another show similar to Gaki no Tsukai rife with interviews, games, and sketch comedy. A buddy of mine recently sent me a YouTube link for a subtitled version of one of their skits called “Five Rangers” and I quickly looked for the rest of the episodes. Since following the episodes in order on YouTube is a pain in the ass, I’ve decided to post them here so everyone can enjoy the 13-episode skit.

Synopsis: Skull Mask (Hamada) is a veteran supervillain. When he attacks a woman in her home one evening, a newly formed team of rangers (including Matsumoto as the Green Ranger) appear to stop him. Skull Mask is quick to point out their costumes are a bit… off and endeavors to set them straight. (For those interested in sentai comedies, this skit resembles the anime Tentai Senshi Sunred in that one character tries to help his opponents not make fools of themselves.)
